When you purchase an exclusive licence from NX2 Studios, you are granted the sole right to use the selected track within the agreed scope, meaning the music will not be licensed to any other party. However, all compositions remain the intellectual property of NX2 Studios, and the composer retains full authorship and publishing rights. This includes the writer’s share of performance royalties, which are collected and distributed through PRS for Music and affiliated international societies. PRS for Music does not control or restrict how you use the music; rather, it functions as a global royalty collection system that tracks public performances of music—such as streams on platforms like Spotify, broadcasts, or other public uses—and ensures that the original composer is fairly compensated. This operates entirely in the background and does not interfere with your ability to upload, distribute, or monetise your project. Unlike content identification systems (such as YouTube Content ID), which can automatically claim or block content, NX2 Studios does not implement any automated claiming systems that would disrupt legitimate licensed usage. Clients are simply required to provide accurate credit and metadata where applicable, ensuring proper attribution and allowing royalty systems to function correctly. This approach reflects standard industry practice and allows NX2 Studios to continue creating high-quality music while maintaining a sustainable, professional catalogue, without placing unnecessary restrictions or technical barriers on clients.
License & Usage Terms
All music provided by NX2 Studios is licensed, not sold. Upon purchase, you are granted a worldwide, exclusive, non-transferable license to use the selected track within your projects. This exclusive license ensures that the track will not be licensed to any other party following your purchase. It is your responsibility to ensure that the intended use of the music aligns with your project requirements prior to purchase.
Under this licence, you may use the music within your projects, including monetised and commercial content, provided the music is synchronised with visual or other media (such as video, film, games, or client work). You may also distribute your project across platforms, including streaming services such as Spotify or Apple Music, where applicable. However, the music may not be resold, redistributed, sublicensed, shared, or made available as standalone audio files, nor may it be used in any way that allows third parties to access, extract, or reuse the music independently of your project.
All intellectual property rights remain with NX2 Studios at all times. The composer retains full authorship and publishing rights to the music. Where applicable, you agree to provide appropriate credit to NX2 Studios and to ensure accurate metadata is supplied when distributing your project. Performance royalties generated from public use (including streaming, broadcast, or other public performances) are collected and distributed through PRS for Music and affiliated international societies. This process operates independently of your licence and does not restrict or interfere with your ability to use, upload, or monetise your project.
NX2 Studios does not utilise automated content identification systems that would interfere with legitimate licensed use. However, NX2 Studios reserves the right to enforce its copyright in cases of unauthorised use, including issuing claims or takedowns where necessary. Legitimate license holders may be required to provide proof of purchase in the event of a dispute.
This licence is granted on a perpetual basis unless terminated. The licence will automatically terminate if you breach any of these terms, at which point you must immediately cease all use of the music.
